The common cold

The reason why I havent blogged in over a weekThis is the reason why I haven't blogged in over one week. I have been caught with a terrible terrible cold! I promise, it has eaten me alive! It has ruined me this month!
It took all my money away + my voice! That's one hell of a cold! HATE IT!

Here are some things I have tried to get better. I don't know if they worked or not, but I feel better today anyway.

o Eaten Vitamin Pills
o Eaten Fruits
o Boiled hotwater with salt and inhaled it through the nose for 5minutes 3times each day
o Not smoked for around 1 week
o Went and bough medicine for the cough and nose
o Eaten honey for the throat
o Hot water with honey in it
o No coffee but alot of lemon tea instead
o Always warm clothes all the time
o Eaten properly each day for the first time ever
o Slept slept slept

David is the one that made me do the most of these things, he should had made me do it earlier! Haha. I started his "getting better cure" 2-3days ago. Seems like it worked kinda good on me anyway.

My way - Chocolate Cake

My favorite cake!

"Sticky"
 Chocolate Cake

100g Margarine or Butter
2 Eggs
1½dl Flour
4blsp cacao
3dl sugar

o Put the oven on 175º celcius
o Melt the margarine/butter
o Add everything and whip together

Put the cake into the oven and it will be finished in 30-35 minutes.

Serve with vanilla cream or ice cream. This cake is also "sticky". It's called "Sticky cake" in Sweden. So if it turns out a lil different than you thought - no worries!

Easiest and yummiest cake EVER!

Enjoy!

My way - Sponge Cake

Sponge Cake is also one of my favorites! Together with hot cacao it beat everything! <3
Sponge Cake

50g Margarine or Butter
1 1/4dl Milk
2 Eggs
2dl Sugar
3dl Flour
1½tsp Baking powder
2tsp Vanilla sugar

o Put the oven on 175º celcius
o Use margarine and dried breadcrumbs to grease the baking tin.
o Melt the margarine and add the milk. Let them get warm (not hot).
o Whip the eggs and the sugar together until you get a fluffy white consistency.
o Add the warm milk and margarine.
o Add the vanilla sugar.
o Mix the flour and baking powder in another bowl and then add it to the other ingredients.
o Put the cake mixture in the baking tin.

If you want to add some chocolate into the cake you save 1/3 of the cake mixture and add some cacao and water. Whip and then add it to the rest of the cake mixture.

Now put the cake fast into the oven, because the baking powder begin to work as fast as it gets warm. Be sure to close the oven door sofly so cold air doesn't get in.

The cake is done in 35-40minutes.

Enjoy!

Yummy!

A couple of days ago I decided a YUMMY day would be awesome. I felt creative and full of energy. My neighbour and David joined me later and helped me to eat everything up. I wouldn't had been able to do it myself!

My favorite cake!  Sponge Cake is also one of my favorites! Together with hot cacao it beat everything! <3  Also one of my favorite dishes!
Dave is content :) Or at least I hope so :P

Meeting K.

Me and David went to Landskrona to meet my dear friend Kristofer. Some of you, as I said before, know him by the name K or Mr K. Just because I like to keep it short. Hahaha. Anyway, we went on a walk through Landskrona and I saw a cute signpost.

Haha, it was so cute!  Two swans we saw on our walk.
Soon after the sign we saw those two too. So the sign wasn't lying!
I hope I can see baby swans the next time I visit the city.

Me, David and K went down to the port in the middle of the night. I could see Denmark on the other side of the sea, and the lights from the city was lika thousand stars. it was really really beautiful! Like fireworks! I so wanted to catch in on a picture and show you, but my camera isn't that good. And I also guess that it is something that can never be shown fairly through a picture. You just have to see it with your own eyes! The water was still and there were no wind.
A stunning night to sit out on the  bridge and just watch the sea.

Mio.

My cat is really funny. Especially when he is climbing trees and hunting birds. Maybe one day he will actually catch something. But right now he is way to clumsy. But oooh still so cute! I just had to show you this picture. I really like it. Too bad I only have a cell phone camera! Would be lovely if I one day can buy a real camera and take real pictures!

My cat.

Knowing

Me and David went to the cinema and watched Knowing. Well, really, we went to the cinema around 2weeks ago, the day before we went to Helsingborg. I have just been too lazy to write about it.
We went to watch the movie Knowing.

INFO:
It all begins with that a school buries a "time capsule" in the late 50's. The students of 50years into the future are Knowing with Nicolas Cagesupposed to dig it up and watch the drawings that was inside the capsule - drawn by kids of the school in the past. But when they dig it up and one kid get his picture it turns out that it isn't a picutre at all. It is a paper with plain numbers all over it on both sides.
The kids' dad begins to look at the paper and he find out that the numbers are dates and number of victims of big catastrophes that has happened - and those that are about to happen!
Knowing when and where the catastophes will take place everything becomes a race against time. But some things are not like they seems like, and soon our main character faces the ultimate disaster and the ultimate sacrifice.

A great and stunning movie over all. I really liked it. It had a very intresting turning-point in the end. I don't want to tell you too much about the movie now.
Just watch it!

Really good!

Sunset

A couple of days ago me an David took the car and went over to a beautiful city in Sweden named Helsingborg. David showed me around and told me he knew of a beautiful walk path that he wanted to show me. First we went high up to a place where we could see the whole city.

I could see the whole city. Everything are so tiny from above.

So high up! It was really beautiful to see the whole city and the sunset from there!

Sunset.

It was amazing. Everything were so tiny!

After that we went down and he told me about Helsingborg's history with the war against Denmark and alot of more things. It was very intresting to listen to it.

David in Helsingborg. Me in Helsingborg. Me in Helsingborg.
The meeting place in Helsingborg.

After that we went to the harbour to watch the sunset over the sea. We found some really cool built in chairs that we decided to lay on for awhile. We smoked some cigs and watched the sun go down over the ocean. It was stunning how beautiful it was.

David at the harbour. With some funny built in chairs.
David shows how to relax on those chairs. I want one in my terrace outside the apartment!

Sunset.
This is how it looked like from the gas station when we were on our way to Helsingborg.

Sunset.
This truly made my day. So beautiful at the harbour.

We went to the harbour.
Alot of sail boats all over the place too. I love sail boats!

When the sun had setted we went to David's friend's place. We played Wii Sports and ate snacks until 2am, then we went home. A really fun day!

Heart attack!

Yesterday at work I was cooking food for the customers and were waitress at the same time. It was all good until....

"Excuse me! Who made this dish?!"
I stepped out of the kitchen, all frightened.
"It was me Sir"
He looked all gloomy but then he smiled.
"You made an excellent work! It's really tasty!"

Man, he really gave me an heart attack!

Rainy Day

Once again it's a rainy day today. Me and my neighbour drank coffee at her place instead today. Its pouring at the moment. I don't look forward to go out in this rain, but it's soon time for me to go to work.

This is the view from the buss. It looks like this in this whole part of Sweden I guess. So flat.  You can see these flowers on the trees everywhere around here.
This is things you see where ever you look at the moment.
Flat land and those flowers.

Thunderstorm

There has been a big thunderstorm in this area for a couple of days now. It just won't dissappear! It comes back and forth all the time... And in between the sun comes forth now and then too. But you can always hear the thunder from far away.

When will it go away? I want my sunny days back!

The thunder is here!
The clouds are kinda beautiful and gives away an ironic feeling when its sunny outside but when you look up at the sky it's all dark.

The best of today

At 10pm I heard a customer shout my name from their table. So I went over there and asked surprised;
"How do you know my name?"

And he said;
"You have to be a very important person. 'Cus everyone is calling on you. But if you have time... could you please give me another beer?"

I told him I was never too busy to serve someone a beer.

Oh gash

Guess who got called out to work today? Me. No free days for me. No lazy days. Lucky I really like to work. The only thing I was able to finish in the apartment was washing dishes. I wonder when I will have enough time to really fix this place up. Sometime soon I hope. Tomorrow we will open the outdoor café, so I start earlier at 2pm instead of 4pm. I hope we will have a busy day at the restaurant tomorrow too. It will be fun fun fun!

Now Mio is attacking my feets. He is craving attention. Gonna spend some time with him and then sleep. He had assaulted one of my flowers while I was away again. Why am I not surprised?

Poor flower. Mio is a flower monster!
I wonder if it will grow roots if i put the part that Mio tore off in water?

Cold day...

Life just isn't fair! EVERY DAY when I have worked it has been like 25C and sunny. When I have wiped tables at the restaurant I have longed to run out and sunbath with a good book. Today when I'm free from work it is COLD outside! Still sunny, but around 10C. Life is just not fair!

This is were we sit and drink coffee.
The place outside my apartment where we drink coffee in the mornings.

But anyway, I have been productive today! At 10.30am my neighbour came by and woke me up with some coffee. After the coffee we went down in the basement to her storehouse and digged up some teacups and plates that she wanted to give to me. I was really happy, there were some nice ones that I really liked. We threw the other ones away. I also unpacked the last boxes - for real this time! Now I just have to go down with the last two boxes to my storehouse, vacuum clean, wash the floor, change curtains, nail up the paintings and wash the new teacups and plates.
I already know I just won't do everything today. I will start with washing dishes... Hahaha.

Another part of my apartment that looks OK right now A part of my aparment that looks kinda OK right now.
I have fixed pretty much in the apartment now. Last touch left!

My neighbour gave me these cups. There were 6cups in total with different berries <3 My neighbour gave me these cups.
The cups my neighbour gave me.

Mio broke yet another flower vase. Messy cat. But right now he is outside running around somewhere. It's so calm in the apartment when he is gone.... almost too calm! Hahaha.

My garden is very beautiful right now. These flowers grows all over the place!

Skånska!

This post is gonna be in Swedish. Sorry english readers!

Advertise!

Ok, I just have to advertise my work place! Because we will open the outdoor café the 2th of May. If you happen to be in Skåne in Sweden, drop in and I promise you I will pay the soda for you! x)

And here are some pictures of a usual day at work!

This table is the most popular one. I have wiped it alot today!  Usual way to start the day at work. Preparing the food.
Wiping the tables, preparing the food,
trying to survive in the heat = drink much soda or mineral water,
managing the pay office and trying to not mix up orders.

Hadji made Pizza buns.  Preparing the food. It looks so tasty already!
Hadji's Pizza Buns and some paprika for different dishes.

Me in my waitress suit.

I don't like it at all now when the summer is getting closer. Black really absorbs the heat and long sleeves doesn't make it any cooler. To have my hair in a bun is also a big minus, but I fell more hair than my cat! And if a customer got one of my blonde hairs in their food it would just be a total mess! I lose and Bun wins.
And gash what a busy day it was the day that picture was taken! I was totally exhausted!

Valborg

Today is a special day in Sweden, Finland, Germany, Czech and the Balt countries. I have heard that it is called Walpurgis night in English. Here in Sweden we say Valborg. It is a tradition that started for real after Saint Walpurga died, but the Vikings celebrated the comming of spring long before on the same day and in the same way that we do today. In time the two of them got mixed together and created this special day.
We lit bonfires and shot alot of fireworks. From the beginning they were thought to ward off evil spirits, trolls and witches. Today it is a festive day with alot of party and alcohol involved.

For me this was also a kinda special day. Not that I could enjoy this day as it should be enjoyed - with friends and family. No, I worked for 10hours. But I had so much fun it doesn't really matter. We are preparing to open up the outdoor café at the restaurant. It was really nice to work together in a team with the other employees.
Well, I did mention that I was a workaholic! Much fun anyway, and many people came to eat and drink today too!

Preparing for the grand opening of the outdoor café.
My boss have made the whole place all by himself.
Here he stands behind the counter wiping some glasses I think.

The restaurant outdoors when we begun to prepare for the grand opening of the outdoor café.
Not nearly done with all the things on this picture.
So much more work left to get that final touch!
My boss made the tile floor when I was at my mom's place during easter!
He is so fast when he works, and it gets so awesome!

The restaurant outdoors when we begun to prepare for the grand opening!
The clock is 1am. Ioannis, Nicklas, Hadji and me have finally
finnished to move fridges, alcohol and sodas and put them
to their rightful places!
Errm ok, I have to confess - the boys did almost all the work!
I just put the sodas into the fridge.

Even if I had been free today I couldn't had gone to a bonfire. It is fire warnings all over this area and anyone who lits a fire will be charged a pretty hugh amount of money. I remember that the last years have been cold and rainy on this day. Some years the snow hadn't even disappeard! But well, that is in north Sweden where I come from. 13hours from here.
It feels like I'm in another country sometimes. Especially when I turn on the radio and tune in the Danish channels. The scariest thing is that I can understand what they are saying now. I couldn't understand anything at all when I first moved down here in September. Even the Swedish language was so different I had a really hard time understanding what people were saying!

I'm free tomorrow. It will be a lazy day. And I hope it will be a sunny day too. The fire warnings are all over the TV and Radio, and it seems like it will continue like that. I actually hope so, 'cus that means alot of sunny days!
My neighbour will wake me up with coffee. It is a new tradition of ours that we invented the last couple of days. I will read Terry Goodkind's Sword of Truth and sunbath some, and then I will take a walk with my neighbours dog Ronja. Tomorrow will be a lovely day!
