Bye Bye Germany!

Germany

So sad. After alot of adventures like David's parents party, visiting a german church service, the visit to the Hartz mountains, strolling around Köthen town, bathing at the public bath house and meeting David's relatives it was finally time to return home to Sweden. I really didn't want to return home just yet. I would had loved to stay for a couple of more days. Time always fly by too fast! I wish I could time travel...

BYE BYE GERMANY! We will visit soon again!

David's Parent's House in Germany.

This is David's parent's home. Front door and backyard. It felt really exotic in some way. Not only because of the weather (which was really HOT!) but the whole feeling about the house was exotic. I really liked the house, the garden - yeah everything about it. It was in the middle of the city, but it didn't felt like it at all!

Germany
Front door. I love how the house is like a terrace house filled with apartments like a four-storey's house. But still like a house. (Ok, I know I confused you now).

Germany
A part of the backyard. This is the backdoor, and behind the awesome camera man is a BIG garden. Sadly no picture of it yet... (Mmm, I loved the backyard.)

Monday's trip to the Harz Mountains

Monday morning we went on a short trip to the Harz mountains. We made some quick breaks on our way over there. We stopped by a field kitchen where we bought some lunch - Gulash. It was really tasty! We were searching for wild animal meat but we ran out of luck and never found the kitchen that we had heard about which was supposed to sell that. Anyway, all food tastes better when eaten out doors and in company!

The next and final stop on our road was Thale. In Thale we took the aerial ropeway to the top of one of the mountains. There was an old amusment park and animal park which we visited. It was so much fun!

Thale town was really pretty, alot of people gathered there to visit the mountains, stroll around and climbing the assault course. Next time I visit I would like to try climbing the assault course. But it sure looked hard - but fun! Too bad I didn't take a picture of it. It was really big though so a picture wouldn't be any good anyway I guess.

The view from the mountain top was awesome! I will post a better picture later. David made an panorama of the "Mountain Theater" that it was called. They even charged money for entering this special spot where the view were the greatest. Paying for the view sounded crazy, but we paid and ooooh how beautiful the view was! Definitely worth the money! Haha.

Germany
We took a stroll in a nature reserve at the foot of the mountain.

We strolled around and sat down at the river for awhile. We put our feets in the cold water to cool them down. Icy cold! David and his parents really enjoyed the icy water, though it was a bit too cold for me so I didn't splash around as much as they did. Shortly after that we arrived at a small café where we bought Cappuccino and a really tasty cake.

After we had eaten we walked a bit more and then turned back to the car. It was a refreshing day and I was all comfy and tired so I fell asleep in the car. Really good day! I'm really greatful that they showed such a wonderful place to me!
