Adventure in Nimis!

Last week I and David went to Nimis and climbed. It was awesome and so much fun! Took awhile to get there and it was exhausting too, but oooh so much fun! We climbed around some, ate yummy sandwishes, sunbathed on the rocks and went on shrimp hunt. The shrimps was too hard to catch though.

Alot of fun climbing around! David climbed up on one of the towers Nimis. So big!

Nimis (which is Latin for "too much") is a big construction made out of 75 tonnes of driftwood in the Kullaberg nature reserve, made 1980 by Lars Vilks. It lies north west in Skåne, Sweden. Because the location of the sculptures is so difficult to reach the government and owners of the nature reserve didn't discover them until two years after he had built them. There was a big struggel between Lars Vilks and the government about if his sculptures was permitted to stay or get destroyed. In a protest against Swedish laws he declared the area where Nimis stands to be a country of it's own called Ladonia. Ladonia never got recognized though. Hmm, I wonder why? :p
